Where is Yark based?

We're based in the UK, and as such, every last one of our components benefits from the knowhow of British designers.

Will my UK mattress fit my Yark bed?

All our beds are sized to UK standard, so you’ll be able to fit a UK sized mattress on to the Yark slat frames.

UK sized mattresses will fit our UK slat frames. You can double check (no pun intended), the sizes are below;

Double – 135cm x 190cm
King – 150cm x 200cm
Super King - 180cm x 200cm

Does the bed arrive assembled?

Every Yark part is flat packed, except for headboards and under bed pull out drawers which are delivered semi assembled.

Every bed comes with full assembly instructions, explaining how to slot the various pieces together, and which screws need tightening along the way. If you’re ordering an item that includes an assembled item, you’ll need to make sure you’ve got enough room for our carrier to deliver your bed.

How do I assemble the bed?

Two adults should be able to put together a Yark bed in no more than an hour. Every bed comes with full assembly instructions, explaining how to slot the various pieces together, and which screws need tightening along the way.

Will all of the components I choose be delivered at the same time?

They should be, yes. Get in touch if they don't all arrive at the same time and we will rectify that as soon as we can.

Do you do custom bed sizes?

Get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

Do you offer a warranty?

Our 12 month warranty covers bed parts (ie screws, bolts, hydraulic pistons etc) only and does not cover wear and tear on fabric or other section on the bed frame.

So if any issues arise, let us know at help@yarkbeds.com. A member of our team will look into your issue and we'll look to quickly resolve it for you.

I've designed my bed, but no delivery date has appeared

We're sorry to hear about this. Once you've designed your bed, the earliest delivery date will appear below the add to basket button. You'll also be able to see the next available delivery date at the checkout. Certain item maybe out of stock, which is why your delivery date may not be available. Not to worry, our factory are making more so we allow customers to pre order their bed to ensure it's reserved and that they don't miss out on their design. We'd advise selecting the next available delivery date to reserve your slot before it's lost!

Do you offer discounts?

We cut out those expensive middlemen and pass those savings on to you. But, from time to time, not often we have discouts. Our prices are ridiculously low as it is, so there is only so much more we can do!

Can I use more than one discount code on a single order?

Come on, don't push it!

Do you have the box dimensions so I can check?

Making sure that are boxes can fit through your doors is super important, so please find below a breakdown of the box dimensions. Certain dimensions may differ slightly.

Our headboards are delivered fully assembled, as you can’t flat pack a gorgeous headboard like ours. The bed base cartons are long and narrow, perfect going up narrow stairways whilst our slat frames are flat packed.

Are you delivering during COVID-19?

We're delivering and operating as normal during COVID-19.

We've taken additional measures to keep everyone safe but we're continuing to deliver as normal.

Simply choose your delivery date at the checkout and we’ll be there. As Local & Government lockdowns are put in place, we're unable to deliver directly to your room of choice. The safety of our customers and drivers is paramount plus it’s super important we stay within Government guidelines. Our drivers will only be able to deliver to your building front door or a nominated safe place. We won’t just sling out the door and we’ll leave your bed safely.

How will returns work during COVID-19

Our usual returns process applies however our lead time for collections is slightly longer. Both Yark and our carrier have taken additional measures during COVID-19 to protect the welfare and safety of our drivers and customers. We're able to collect your bed and all items must be sealed and ready for collection. Please refer to our returns process or customer support team for more information.

Can I choose my delivery date?

You bet! At Yark, everything evolves around you. Once you've designed your bed, our system will let you know the next available delivery date. At the checkout you can then decide when you want it delivered. We deliver within 48 hours. So pick a day and we'll be there.

Will the delivery courier call before delivery?

Your delivery is booked as part of the checkout process. You'll get two text messages in the run-up to the big day. The first will be 24 hours before your delivery confirming your 2 hour time slot. The second will come when the team is en route to you. You'll also get a call from the driver too when they're 15-30 minutes away

Can I track my delivery?

You bet! All tracking information is included in your dispatch email so you’re able to see where the drivers are up to on the day and how far away they are.

Can I organise a delivery time slot?

Because our carrier controls the delivery routes based on their algorithms, we’re unable to provide a specific delivery slot prior to placing your order. But don’t worry, 24 hours prior to delivery we’ll give you a 2-hour time slot, a SMS message in the morning and the driver will contact you when they’re 30 minutes away. Just to top it off to, you’ll get live tracking information so you can spy on the driver (don’t tell the driver that bit).

We're moving home, can I request a delivery date and then change it?

Exciting news about the new 🏠. Every home deserves a new bed.

Moving home is super stressful, so we want to take the stress out of it.

When moving into a new home, dates change out of your control so we wanna be super flexible. You can change the delivery date up to a minimum of 48 hours before your delivery date. If you change the delivery date within 48 hours, sadly we charge for this change we've already processed your order and our carrier will have possession of your items.

As you're going to a new property (or a new build), we advise that you have possession of your keys on the requested delivery date from 7am, so that you can accept delivery.

Although our carrier provide a 2 hour delivery slot 24 hours before your requested delivery date, our delivery times commence from 7am which is why we ask that you're in possession of the keys and access to the property. If our carrier arrives and there is no access to the property, this will be classed as a failed delivery.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

No matter which of our couriers end up delivering your bed, unfortunately all of them will require a signature. You may face a penalty charge if you miss our delivery, and we will attempt to rebook your delivery.

All of our delivery routes are preplanned, however, and as such your options may be more limited than they were when you first made your choice.

How much is delivery, and how long does it take?

Delivery is completely free to Mainland UK addresses - unfortunately deliveries to the Scottish Highlands will incur an additional £35 charge. No catches, no weird small print - pick the day you want your bed to arrive, tell us which room you want us to put it in - couldn't be easier.

Will you bring my bed to my bedroom?

In a non Covid world, we’ll even bring it up to a 3rd floor in a block of flats with no lift (if any of our delivery drivers are reading this – we’re honestly so sorry). But sadly because of Covid-19, we're not able to bring your bed beyond the hallway or apartment building communal areas due to health & safety.

Apart from that we'd just ask, please make sure there is enough room for our carrier to deliver to your room. Otherwise, we'll be making their life harder (if the delivery driver was reading on, we're super sorry). If it's not safe for our drivers to deliver safely, they'll leave the items in a safe place.

For the safety of our customers and delivery crew, we're sadly unable to deliver within the home if you live within a local Goverment lockdown area.

Can I provide additional delivery details?

You can indeed - we'll pass on everything you provide us with to the couriers to make sure your delivery goes as smoothly as possible.

Do you deliver to the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland?

Unfortunately not at this time. We only deliver within Mainland UK.

Will you bring my bed to my bedroom?

What type of cards do you accept?

All of the usual offenders - Visa Credit, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard and who could forget, American Express.

What is the returns process?

We accept returns within 14 working days of delivering, and charge a £65 return fee. Payment will be deducted off your refund, a Yark agent will confirm your returns ID and contact you asking which day you would like your bed collected on. With a date set, we'll send you a text message confirming both the collection day, and your two hour collection window. Fast forward to the day and time, our delivery driver will collect the flat packed goods, obtaining your signature before they leave. It's essentially just like our deliveries, but in reverse.

What is the return process?

Email help@yarkbeds.com detailign why you want to return your bed frame. Our team will organise a collection of your bed. It typically takes 3-5 working days for goods to arrive back at our warehouse, and once your bed has returned to our warehouse, we will issue a refund to your original payment method within 10 working days, with an email to confirm that we’ve issued your refund.

We charge a standard rate of £65 for returns, because depending on how far along you have gotten into building your bed - collection tends to not be straightforward.

Once we've collected your bed, it typically takes 3-5 working days for the goods to arrive back to our warehouse. Once your bed has returned to our warehouse, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method within 10 working days with an email to confirm that we've issued your refund.

Who will remove my bed if I decide to return it?

For the sake of health and safety, we will only remove flat packed beds - in their original packaging (or at least equivalently good protection). Beyond that, our returns are just as seamless as our deliveries. All returned items must be returned in a saleable condition.

How do I prepare my bed for return?

We won't accept returns that aren't appropriately packaged for the sake of health and safety. As long as your bed is flat packed, still in its original packaging or equivalently protective packaging, we will take care of the rest.

Is my bed environmentally friendly?

Nearly all of the packaging on our beds is completely recyclable for one, and because our beds are flat packed, we can fit more deliveries in one van – reducing our carbon footprint.

Why does my bed come flat packed?

Don’t let that put you off, Yark beds are very easy to assemble! In fact, our pull out drawers are delivered assembled. But put it this way, if we delivered every part fully assembled they’d be much heavier, and much more awkward to transport and deliver – and we wouldn’t be able to keep costs any way near as low. We might even have to charge for delivery. Trust us, you’d prefer things as they are compared to the alternative!

Do I need to have tools handy?

Every order comes with an Allen key, but you might find building easier if you have a screwdriver or drill to hand too.

When can I start sleeping on my new bed?

Your Yark bed is ready for sleeping on from the moment you’ve opened the packaging and built it. We’d recommend adding a mattress first, but don’t let us tell you how to live your life...

Why do you only offer beds?

We would always rather focus on doing one thing unbelievably well than diverting our attention across several completely different products. It's only with this singular focus that we can put all of our energy into design, craft and constantly improving the experience we provide online.

We're sorry to hear that you want to exchange a part of your bed. Our priority is making sure that you ❤️ the bed you've designed. Simply let our support team know at help@yarkbeds.com your order ID and they’ll be able to help you out and organise everything for you. We’ll ensure we get the part you don’t want out of your way ASAP and get a delivery date for your new part too. We’ll try our best to make sure it’s collected and delivered on the same day to make everything smooth. Let’s talk cost. Sadly, our carrier impose a penalty on us to collect items. We pass those on directly to you. We charge £65 for your collection and £65 for your re-delivery.
